First up, Wednesday I was invited to the Impulse Group's "Pulse of the City," event. Hosted at a stunning Mulholland Estate (I have been to many a pool party at the same home), the Impulse is a Southern California based Organization dedicated to the advancement of safe sex awareness amongst gay men. While HIV and AIDS treatments have advanced significantly in the last few years, a staggering growth in new infection rates happens almost annually. The Impulse Group gathered some of L.A.'s finest to continue our conversation about awareness, prevention, and guest speaker Jack McEnroth of Project Runway fame, shared his story about living with HIV for over 20 years. Light hearted and jovial, he was a wonderful reminder that HIV doesn't mean a death sentence, but that doesn't mean we don't need to be safe.
Friday night I was co-hosting the all new Evolution Fridays in West Hollywood. Shifting gears from charity and a good cause to stilettos and eyelashes, I pranced around with some of WeHo's favorite queens and pretty boys, sipping nothing but water since I had two classes to teach at Equinox the next morning. Local celeb and Cazwell's other half, Rusty Rooftop was on hand, alongside divas Lexi and Shokra. All this excitement meant by Saturday night, I was curled up on the sofa watching James Bond and thinking about Daniel Craig and Rachel Weiss being married, and how that's just too much hotness to really think about. Can't wait to see what this week has in store. Make sure and check out my calendar link to see where else I might pop soon.
