Every few months I have to get rid of those things that are either no longer essential, don't fit (heaven forbid) or have just been over-worn. Heaven knows a good Celebutante should not be photographed wearing the same look twice.
My closets (all 3 of them) tend to be a study on organization. The minute I get too busy, or don't put something back where it belongs, all hell breaks loose. The saving grace of any closet though, are Real Simple's "Slimline Hangers." Literally allowing you to fit three times what you can with other hangers, they are the only way the crowded pieces of silk and sequins can co-exist.
While I save hanging space for more delicate pieces, cotton t-shirts, shorts, and knits are relegated to drawer space. Nothing can be more frustrating though then trying to find that ONE t-shirt in the bottom of a drawer, and by the time you've searched hard enough, everything else is a disaster. That's why I now stack all t-shirts going vertically in the drawer. Not only does it same a ton of space, but it makes it so much easier to see each shirt in the drawer for easy access.
was being able to edit my swimsuit collection down from an unmanageable 68 pieces, to a much more reasonable 42 speedos.
Most got the cut because of some color fading or over-wear, which is my mind means I should just go shopping since it is July.
Of the remaining 42 suits left, 39 are RUFSKIN, which is probably not a shock. Not only because I worked there for so long, but because I love their fit so much. As a matter of fact, I'm heading over to their website now to just look at what's new.
